Teaser Thursday

I've been meaning to participate in Teaser Tuesday for a while, but seeing as I blog on Tuesdays about travel, I have not yet had the chance to do it. I have decided that since my week has been so busy, and because I have just finished Anthony Doerr's beautiful novel All The Light We Cannot See, it is time to do a "Teaser Thursday" on the next book I will be reading – Joe McGinniss' Fatal Vision. Hopefully it will get me excited about reading, and you, my dear readers, will potentially learn about a book you may not yet be aware of…
The rules:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
First, a bit of background. – This book is a nonfiction journalist's account of the story, as told to him, by Jeffrey MacDonald about the murder of his pregnant wife and 2 children that occurred in 1970. MacDonald claims that he has been wrongfully convicted; McGinniss, in the investigation and telling of the story, hopes to get to the bottom of the case and discover what really happened that fateful day and who was actually responsible for the crime if it, in fact, wasn't MacDonald.

"And, as he did––it was an almost imperceptible thing––there was a catch in his voice. Just for a moment, and then he went on past it, but it was there––that little catch in the voice when he talked about going into the baby's room." (page 181)

Thoughts? Are you familiar with this story? If not, would you be interested in reading it in the future?
