Is it worth taking a ride on the Lévis Ferry?

It's day ten (for me) in the A-Z blog challenge! This month I'll be sharing all about my Christmas/New Year's travels to Canada – providing insight into the places I went, reviewing the hotels I stayed at, and telling my story. Today's letter is L for the Lévis Ferry, a transportation option that goes between Québec City and the city of Lévis across the St. Lawrence River (St. Laurent) every 15 minutes beginning at 6 AM and continuing until 2 AM daily. The ferry provides fantastic views from the water and a great opportunity to explore another nearby Canadian city without hopping in your car.

Rather than sharing in depth the adventure that is Lévis Ferry, instead I'm going to let my images and video speak for themselves…

A few notes:
+ the amount of ice on any given day can alter the schedule
+ Other websites have indicated that you can pay for one ticket and ride round trip, but mine and my husband's experience is that you need to buy both the to and from tickets to ride round trip.for 3.55$ CAD per ticket. They make everyone exit the boat and then reboard once you get to Lévis.
+ Unsurprisingly, it is COLD out on the water. Wear warm clothing.
+ You can hear ice cracking as you pass through if you are outside; it is the coolest thing! :)
+ Indoors, the boat offers a snack and hot drink vending machine. Make sure you have Canadian dollars and coins for purchases.
+ Cars can be taken across the river on the ferry.

Having seen the images and video, what do you think? Would you consider taking the Lévis Ferry to get a different view of Québec City or explore the city of Lévis?
