Anthropologie Haul

I know this blog is all about wedding-y stuff, but... Anthropologie is pretty awesome too! :)

During the month of December, they did something soooo terrible that it requires a post from me. Ever heard of a REALLY GOOD SALE? Y'know... 50% off an already discounted price? That kind of sale is almost unheard of in Anthropologie stores! I was super excited to snag a few amazing clothing pieces for really cheap prices! (I also snagged some regularly priced clothing items as well.)

My first purchase of the month was the Rodna Halter dress in navy. It is absolutely gorgeous and made with a light corduroy material and a super cute slip underneath. I originally passed up the green version of this dress back in October waiting to see if it would go on sale. Instead of going on sale, the dress sold out in a matter of weeks! In November Justin noticed that a navy and red version would be coming out soon. I held off until December when I noticed this dress was out of stock online. I called and talked to 3 different representatives, and I was quite pleased when they found the dress in my size. The skirt is very large and quite fun! I wish I had had it in time to go to more holiday parties, but there is always next year!

My second purchase of the month was the Sweet Divinity Slip that I got on sale. I really wish I had gotten it in black rather than in nude, because the slip is made in such a way that you could wear it as a skirt and it would still look awesome! I'm not sure yet if I'm keeping this, but it is really cute if you have a pretty dress or skirt that you want to dress up a bit. Plus, I love the name! A dessert for under a dress? Yes, please! :)

By far my absolute best purchase of the month from Anthro purchase is the Button Belted Dress. Originally priced at $248, I managed to snag this awesome piece for less than $30 in the sale section! Heck yeah! My one complaint about this dress is how hard it is to zip since the top zips separately from the skirt. None the less, it looks absolutely beautiful on.

I bought the Wispy Pointelle Cardi, also on sale, to go with my Button Belted dress or any other dress of my choosing. I really wish this Cardi had been more on sale than it was, because at $30 a cardigan, it is impossible to afford one in red, yellow, grey, and white to go with each of your dresses. *shrugs* It is really pretty and I am sooo looking forward to wearing it to a New Years party this weekend!

Last but not least, I purchased the gorgeous Free People Fluted Sweater in this rose/pink color. It is SOOOOO gorgeous in person, very comfy, and amazingly warm on cold days. My only complaint is that has to be hand-washed. *sadness* The sweater comes in 3 colors and 4 sizes, and apparently it is available at Free People, (was available at) Macys, and Bloomingdales. *sigh* You really want this sweater. I promise. ;)
